On March 15, 2017 KCCF foodbank press-conference took place at UNIAN.
We started in Ukraine in 2011.Team of three volunteers started cooperation with two suppliers- KraftFoods and Danone and four charitable organizations, with the active support of Cargill, Lafarge, Credit Agricole Bank, Ernst & Young. At first year, thanks to Cargill we acquired refrigerated van with load capacity of 5 tons. So for the first year Food Bank was able to receive and share with charitable organizations 175 tonnes of food. A year later, we have received and shared 190 tons of food. In 2015, the Food Bank has received nearly 250 tons of food and essential goods.
In 2016 with the help of Metro Cash & Carry and FEBA we found one more refrigerated van for city - with load capacity of 2 tons, so we were more fast and can more quickly respond to manufacturers and suppliers offers and deliver products to people in need.
In 2016 the Food Bank received and shared 325 tons of food and essential goods. All this is made possible by our partners-suppliers - METRO, Mondeliz Ukraine, PEPSICO Ukraine, SC Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Raben Ukraine, and individuals who participate in our charity events and active people. I would also like to note that our work would be impossible without our partners - FEBA, Cargill and Lafarge. In 2016 all received products were distributed in 19 regions of Ukraine. Last year the aid received 136 public and charitable organizations, including those dealing with children and orphans , people with disabilities of all ages, elderly, large families, the sick, immigrants, families of those killed in ATO . Total number of people who have benefited thanks to the Food Bank reaches several tens of thousands of people.
Sharing food=sharing hope!
We call on all concerned to cooperate!
